Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 August 2026

This policy explains what we do with your personal information when you visit litroutes.com or buy something from us.

Who we are

William Kerr, trading as JVRK Group

Business address: 48 Kenmure Place, Dunfermline, Fife, KY12 0XH Email: travel@litroutes.com

We are the data controller for the information described below.

What we collect

When you place an order: your name, email address, delivery address, phone number if you give one, and your order details. Your card details go directly to our payment provider — we never see or store them.

When you visit the site: your IP address, browser type, device type, which pages you looked at and how you arrived. This is collected through cookies and tracking pixels.

When you contact us: whatever you choose to include in your message.

Why we use it

  • To process and deliver your order, and to email you about it
  • To handle returns, refunds and customer questions
  • To measure how our advertising performs, and to show relevant ads
  • To keep the required records for tax and accounting
  • To protect against fraudulent orders

Our legal basis

Under UK GDPR we rely on:

  • Contract — to fulfil an order you’ve placed
  • Legal obligation — to keep tax and transaction records
  • Legitimate interests — to run and improve the business, and prevent fraud
  • Consent — for advertising and analytics cookies, which you can decline

Cookies and tracking

We use cookies to keep your basket working and to understand how the site is used.

We also use advertising pixels from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and TikTok. These record actions such as viewing a product or completing a purchase, and share that with those platforms so we can measure our ads and reach similar audiences.

You can decline non-essential cookies through the banner when you first visit, change your browser settings to block them, or opt out through your Facebook and TikTok ad preferences.

Essential cookies — the ones that make the basket and checkout work — can’t be switched off, as the site won’t function without them.

Who we share it with

We share only what’s necessary, with:

  • Our payment provider (Stripe) — to take payment securely
  • Our suppliers and fulfilment partners — your name and delivery address, so your order can be shipped
  • Meta and TikTok — advertising and conversion data as described above
  • Our website host and email provider — as part of running the site
  • HMRC or other authorities — where the law requires it

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

International transfers

Some of our suppliers and technology providers are based outside the UK, including in China and the United States. Where information is transferred abroad, we rely on the safeguards permitted under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

  • Order and transaction records: 6 years, as tax law requires
  • Customer service emails: 2 years
  • Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe
  • Website analytics: typically up to 26 months

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

  • Give you a copy of the information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that’s wrong
  • Delete your information, where we’re not required to keep it
  • Stop or limit how we use it
  • Send your information to another provider
  • Stop using it for marketing, at any time

Email travel@litroutes.com and we’ll respond within one month. There’s no charge.

Marketing emails

We’ll only send marketing emails if you’ve asked for them or bought from us. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we act on it straight away.

Keeping your information safe

The site uses SSL encryption. Payment details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our systems. Access to customer information is limited to what’s needed to run the business.

Children

This site isn’t intended for anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect information about children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged on the site.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please email us first at travel@litroutes.com.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office:
